  Getting disconnected from the Internet without warning
    Serveral things can cause this problem.

Solutions: Check with your computer manufacture for modem updates, even if you just purchased the computer.

1. You have old Modem Firmware and Drivers or you have a modem that is not compatable with our Access servers.

There is no doubt modems are Black Magic, in a perfect world every modem would play nice with every phone line and Access server combination. Unfortunately this is not the case.

Solution: Disable call waiting in your Dial-up networking connection.

2. If you have Call Waiting on the phone line you use to connect to the Internet. An Incoming call while you are online can disconnect you.

Step 1. Open My Computer then open Dial-up Networking.

Step 2. Right Click on the Connction Icon you use to connect to the Internet, go down and Left Click on Properties.

Step 3. Put a Check mark in the box beside Use Area Code and Dialing Properties.

Step 4. Enter your Area Code, if it is not there or is different from your Local Area code.

Step 5. Click OK

Step 6. Double Click the Connection Icon.

Step 7. Click Dial Properties.

Step 8. Put a Check in the box beside To Disable Call Waiting Dial.

Step 9. Click the Down Arrow on the box to the right, and select *70,

Step 10. Click OK
